In the next instalment of our 'Meet The Team' series, we introduce Arjith Ravi, Customer Success Team Member at Sport:80.

Arjith, tell us a bit about yourself!

"I am originally from India and moved to the UK to pursue a master's degree in Sport Management at Loughborough University. Having played Cricket at a commendable level in my home country, I continue to play for a club in Sheffield (Hallam Cricket Club) where Sport:80 COO, Jonny, also played. I actually got into the club through his reference!

"My professional journey in the sports industry has been diverse, encompassing roles in marketing, broadcasting, and retail. I have now found my niche at Sport:80, where I contribute to the company’s customer success team with my expertise and passion for sports."

What are some of your main duties at Sport:80?

"My core responsibility is maintaining our exemplary level of customer support by promptly addressing client inquiries regarding the Platform. This involves the creation of client tutorial videos, for effective communication of our Platform's features and how to use them.

"I am also responsible for producing promotional videos that articulate the functionalities and benefits of our Platform."

Tell us a bit about your interests!

"I am an adrenaline enthusiast with a passion for engaging in adventurous activities. You'll often find me at any sports events happening around the city, and actively volunteering as I thoroughly enjoy contributing to the sporting community. I am always keen to learn anything related to sport."

Who is your favourite sports team/athlete?

"Chennai Super Kings / Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni."

What's your favourite sporting memory?

"India winning the One Day Cricket World Cup in 2011 after 28 years."

Favourite pasta shape?

"Cavatappi!"

Desert island! One film, book, and album for the rest of your life. What are they?

"Film would be ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’. I'm not an active reader but I recently bought ‘Shoe Dog’ by Phil Knight. Music-wise, any ‘Yuvan Shankar Raja’ music!"

Favourite fictional character?

"The Flash."

The thing that annoys you most?

"Inconsistency."

What's something you don't like, that everybody else does?

"Driving!"

What's something you love, that everybody else hates?

"Nesquik and Biscoff spread."

What's your spirit animal?

"An elephant."

If you could go back to any moment in time, when would it be?

"I would like to go back to my school days!"
