Sports Tech specialists Sport:80 have been shortlisted for the ‘Best Technology Company’ Award at this year’s Sheffield Business Awards.

The company, which has developed the first technology platform built specifically for National Governing Bodies of Sport, wherever in the world they may be, will have onboarded at least 23 National Governing Bodies since the start of 2020, including sports in the UK and US, by the end of this year.

Clients include British Weightlifting, British Fencing, USA Track & Field, Table Tennis England and Badminton Ireland.

The Sport:80 Platform enables sporting organisations to unlock the power and value of their communities through innovative technology. It combines powerful CRM functionality with a dedicated online member portal.

By providing both functions within a single system, the platform actively encourages online engagement from members whilst providing various operational tools to enable organisations to improve business efficiency and insight.

“The last year has been an extremely positive one for Sport:80 with the total number of governing bodies worldwide with which we are working increasing significantly and the company experiencing year-on-year growth,” explains CEO and co-founder Gary Hargraves.

“There is a realistic prospect that our business could double in size in the coming years as we continue to develop our services and introduce new products to enable clients to capitalise on the power and value of technology.

"Our growth is a testament to the team we have built and their unwavering commitment and hard work.”

Winners will be announced at a special ceremony on December 9th.
