The National Field Archery Association (NFAA) has announced the launch of an online platform that will modernise the running of the National Body and provide new digital services to archers across the United States.
The NFAA Platform has been developed alongside the National Body’s recently appointed Technology Partner, Sport:80. Now operational, the Platform incorporates functionality that enables the NFAA to manage and deliver its membership and events programmes from a single system, whilst providing archers with greater access to the sport. Anyone involved, or interested in getting involved in archery can simply create an account, manage their NFAA profile, purchase and renew memberships, and enter competitions among a host of other features.
Bruce Cull, President of the NFAA, described the launch of the Platform as a significant step forward for the National Body and how it engages with everyone involved in the sport:
“We’ve been working closely with Sport:80 for some time now and we are delighted to announce the launch of the Platform. Operationally it’s going to streamline a lot of our processes and it’s also going to widen the digital services available to everyone involved in our sport. I’ve no doubt that the technology and the partnership with Sport:80 is going to be of huge benefit to the NFAA, particularly because of the commitment they show to all of their partners.”
The partnership with Sport:80 has seen the NFAA buy in to much more than a piece of technology. Firstly, the National Body will benefit from a cloud-based Platform that is supported, managed and regularly upgraded by Sport:80’s in-house Development Team. The NFAA will also be encouraged to feedback their experiences of using the technology and suggest new features and functionality. This knowledge-sharing and collaboration is a key feature of Sport:80’s ‘community’ movement which has brought together like-minded sport organisations whose aim is to drive the growth of sport through the use of innovative technologies. The NFAA will be one of two US national bodies, and the second Archery governing body to join the Sport:80 Community, and hopes to benefit from being part of this collective that is now more than 20-strong.
Although it has established itself as a leading sports technology provider in the UK, Sport:80 has a growing reputation in both the United States and the world of Archery. The functionality and flexibility of the company’s technology, combined with the community ethos has proved to be a real head-turner for national bodies such as the NFAA. Gary Hargraves, CEO of Sport:80, described his delight at securing this latest partnership with the NFAA and explained why he thinks the company is making such an impact in the industry:
“The NFAA are a forward-thinking organisation and we are really happy to be working with them. When we first met with Bruce and the team, they really bought in to our mantra and the way we work, instantly recognising that we are sports people first and foremost. I think governing bodies really respond to the fact that we approach all of work from a sport perspective and that our technology has been developed using experience of working for NGBs and delivering major events. As with all of our partners we will be working tirelessly to ensure that the Platform supports the growth of the NFAA and we will be doing everything we can to enable them to achieve their goals.”
