Table Tennis Wales joins the Sport:80 Community

Updated: Sep 30, 2019

We are very happy to announce that Table Tennis Wales has become the latest member of the Sport:80 Community. This new partnership will see the NGB adopt of the Sport:80 Platform, becoming the second Table Tennis governing body to do so in the past 12 months following Table Tennis England.

“We are delighted to be working with Sport:80 to develop this online system for our governing body. It presents a significant step forward for our digital strategy which is geared towards improving engagement with our members and professionalising our services. The opportunities that will arise as part of being part of the Sport:80 Community also make this an incredibly exciting partnership.”

Rhian Pearce, Chief Executive Officer, Table Tennis Wales

Table Tennis Wales wanted to implement a sports business management system to centralise and manage a number of its core operations. Our approach lent itself to Table Tennis Wales’ situation who, as a small but ambitious governing body, found themselves having to innovate to maximise the resources available to them. Added to this was the fact that we had recently begun working with Table Tennis England; a relationship from which Table Tennis Wales would be able to benefit from as a result of our community model.

By adopting the Sport:80 Platform, Table Tennis Wales will be able to give members autonomy over their affiliation to the governing body. This will include the ability to create and manage their own profile, purchase their membership, manage qualifications, register for events and much more. In turn, Table Tennis Wales will benefit from an array of sport business management tools that will allow the governing body to manage it operations, including:

  • Membership Registration

  • Qualification Management

  • Event Management

  • CRM & Contacts

  • Data Management

  • Marketing & Communications

  • Payments & Finance

We look forward to continuing our work to support the fantastic sport of Table Tennis. To find out more about this partnership, or any of our projects, please get in touch by clicking here.
