In case you’ve missed it, the Sport & Recreation Alliance hosted an event on the hot topic of GDPR earlier this month. When asked whether we’d like to get involved, we were more than happy to contribute with our insight as a technology provider to the sport sector.
Leading one of four workshops on the day, we guided attendees through a practical perspective on GDPR and the operational considerations Governing Bodies of Sport need to make before the legislation becomes enforceable in May 2018.
It was great to see so many people attending the event and many people responding with positivity rather than panic. As part of our workshop we also left attendees with a number of resources including our slide deck from the workshop, the ICO’s toolkit for small businesses, the full GPDR articles and a summary of GDPR. All of these resources can be accessed from the GDPR Hub on the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s website
If you’re not a member of the Sport and Recreation Alliance and have questions relating to GDPR, or how our technology is helping sports organisations become compliant, we are happy to help!
