Our pioneering work has seen the company experience rapid growth over the past 18 months and we are now looking for a marketeer to join us on this exciting journey.

The role

This is a unique opportunity for a highly driven, creative and forward-thinking individual to join our Commercial Team. Working alongside our Marketing Manager, you will be given the opportunity to make your mark on the business and play an important role in its growth.

Based at our Head Office in the up and coming Kelham Island area of Sheffield, you will contribute to all areas of our marketing footprint. If you show the right commitment, enthusiasm and aptitude, you will quickly be given the opportunity to take charge of key marketing initiatives and progress within the company.

We are a relatively small close-knit team but are keen to find someone with fresh ideas, approaches and perspectives. You don’t have to be super sporty or a devout techie, but bonus points will be awarded if you are someone with a keen interest in both the sport and tech industries.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be involved in the… 

  • Creation, delivery and analysis of marketing campaigns
  • Creation of content for the Sport:80 website, social media channels, marketing campaigns and press among other areas
  • Management of the Company’s social media channels
  • Management of the Company’s website (content, design and analytics)
  • The design of graphics, presentations and other marketing materials
  • Proof-reading of all marketing related content
  • Reporting of marketing activities
  • Maintenance of key marketing data and documentation including the Company’s CRM system
  • Organisation of Sport:80 events and attendance at industry events

We are looking for someone with the following background, skills and qualities…

  • A 2:1 or 1st Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
  • Excellent written skills (bonus points for creative writers)
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • A high level of IT literacy including Microsoft and/or Apple software packages
  • Practical or professional experience of using Adobe Software packages (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.)
  • You will be highly creative
  • Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • An understanding of marketing and its importance in the success of a business
  • Be a quick learner and have the ability to grasp new and innovative ideas
  • A self-starter that is equally good working independently as well as part of a team
  • Be driven and ambitious
  • Not be afraid to challenge convention and ask questions 
  • Be sociable, confident and out-going
  • Have a sense of humour

It would also be a bonus if you had…

  • Past experience working in a marketing role
  • Knowledge or experience of B2B marketing
  • Have an interest or passion for sport and/or technology
  • Knowledge or experience of managing social media channels
  • An understanding of website CMS platforms
  • Some knowledge/experience of graphic design

As part of the role there may also be travel within the UK and overseas because of our work with international clients. Due to this you will need a full and clean driving licence and valid passport.
