Our friends at the Sport and Recreation Alliance (SRA) will be hosting a GDPR event in Nottingham on the 14th November, and we are delighted to announce that we will be presenting one of the four workshops taking place across the day-long event.
We will be talking through the implications of GDPR with specific focus on data management systems and where the role of ‘Data Controller’ starts and ends. We will also be touching on our role as an IT service provider to NGBs across the country and the importance of integrated data solutions to support compliance.
Our attendance at the event is part of our newly established partnership with the Sport and Recreation Alliance, and we were very excited to get involved given the relevance and importance of the GDPR regulations.
Other organisations presenting at the event include IT support specialists, Microtrading, insurance provider, Howden and renowned law firm Gateley Plc. Break-out sessions will provide the chance to discuss the poignant issues with delegates from these organisations as well as peers within the sport sector.
This event will be a great opportunity to gain detailed insight about GDPR from industry experts and will be of huge value to everyone attending. Also, given its free to attend for SRA members there are no excuses to miss out.
